Exterior and Interior Views of Carriage 119, 2006

The top half of the picture show the external view. The left end frosted window shows the location of the toilet compartment. The bottom of the waste tank can be discerned under the carriage. This carriage is fitted with drop-lights at each seating bay.

The lower half of the picture shows the internal arrangement - lower left is looking "up" towards Blaenau; lower right is looking "down" towards Caernarfon. In common with the other FR corridor carriages, the double seats are on the view side when traversing the Vale of Ffestiniog. Features in this carriage are the centre mounted lighting. At the bottom end of the carriage is the bulkhead on which the other side is the toilet compartment. During the winter 2006-7 the interior was refurbished. The carpets were removed from the interior. New white celing installed, Formica matching the original replaced all carpets on sides and new flooring installed. Seating was also re-upholstered. The exterior wsa painted and new doors fitted. In June 2009 this carriage along with 'sister' 120 was transferred for use on the WHR, in response to heavy loadings after the launch of services through the Aberglaslyn Pass.
