FESTINIOG RAILWAY SOCIETY A.G.M. SPECIAL TRAIN

FROM MANCHESTER (connections from Sheffield, Liverpool), STOCKPORT, WILMSLOW AND CREWE (connections from Nottingham, Derby, Preston, with special inclusive ones from LONDON and BIRMINGHAM) VIA THE NORTH WALES COAST LINE TO BANGOR, RETURNING FROM BLAENAU FFESTINIOG.

SATURDAY 27th APRIL 1974

Following the decision to hold an afternoon A.G.M. in 1974, we are pleased to announce advance details of the loco-hauled train which is being arranged by Kind permission of British Rail (Manchester Division), for the event.

Some of the many features that will make this a very attractive day out are the chance to go loco-hauled from B. Ffestiniog and the time allowed for viewing the new F.R. Station layout at Blaenau, while for non-members an excellent optional tour including the Festiniog and Llechwedd caverns has been arranged.

GENERAL INFORMATION & FARES

Fares will be very reasonable and are expected to be in the region of £5.20 from London, £3.90 from Birmingham, and £2.50 from Manchester and Crewe, all fully inclusive for members. A small supplement of about 85p will be charged to cover the optional tour for non-members, including the Festiniog Railway and Llechwedd Slate Cavern costs.

Full catering facilities will be available on the B. Rail train, including tray meals if ordered in advance. Also, people from London will be able to obtain breakfast on the outward journey and dinner on the return journey.
