GROUPS ADVANCE INFORMATION

Dear Colleague,

I am enclosing with this letter copies of a leaflet Adrian Shooter has asked me to send to you in connection with the above special, which our group have agreed to help the Society with; and I would be obliged if you would pass them around as many members as possible, and also include details in your next newsletter if this is possible.

The main leaflet, which will be self-explanatory, will be ready as soon as the timings have been cleared by B. Rail - about the middle of December - and if you would kindly drop me a line saying approximately how many you require for your group I will be only too happy to supply them.

Turning to the train itself, the route has been arranged to enable most Society members to be able to attend the A.G.M., ride on the railway, and have a general look round, all in one day, and at very reasonable fares which will be fully inclusive, including such items as printed itinerary and map, coach, reserved seats on B. Rail train etc. At the moment only the London and Birmingham areas have been covered with special party travel on the service trains, but if you feel support from your area would make this worthwhile please write to Adrian with your comments and likely numbers.

On the publicity front the Society will look after national publications like the Railway Magazine etc. but if you know of any other ways in which we could push this trip to the general public, like local radio stations or newspapers, this would be very useful.

In conclusion I would like to wish you and your group the very best for Christmas and the new year and I look forward to your help and support in making this trip a real success.
