Long, iron, slab wagon, as restored by HLF team. Historic number. These were not conversions of slate wagons, but new built for their purpose. Two dozen iron slab wagons, including 21 (see The Spooner Album, p38) and 24, were built at Boston Lodge in 1859. They were rated for a load of 4 tons.
