H = Historic number restored, or seen in a pre-1967 picture - may duplicate number of another wagon

N = number not now carried, due to renumbering or disposal of the wagon

B = fitted with handbrake

V = fitted with vacuum brake (or through-piped) for use in passenger trains

- 4-Wheel Brine Tank Waggon Roger Marks 1990 Built Festiniog Railway Co, Boston Lodge probably in the half-year ending 30.6.1879; used to bring sea water from Porthmadog to Plas Tan-y-Bwlch. The remains of the metal tank and wooden underframe were recovered from Pont Croesor, where the wagon had served as a locomotive water tank when the Welsh Highland Railway was open. TGBC
- 4-wheel wooden wharf wagon, Four -wheel wooden wharf wagon, from Davies Bros, Minffordd. A type of light wagon used by quarry companies and traders for handling slates at the quayside TGBC
