Blaenau Ffestiniog Station order published

County Council of Gwynedd has made the County of Gwynedd (New Central Station, Blaenau Ffestiniog) No. 2 Compulsory Purchase Order 1979, which, if confirmed by the Secretary of State for Wales, will authorise approximately 1,575 square metres of land to be purchased compulsorily for the purpose of securing the treatment as a whole of development: namely, construction of a station to serve British Railways and the Festiniog Railway and ancillary car parks. It includes a garage and derelict buildings lying on part of the site of the former Great Western Railway station, to the west of the Queens Hotel.
