Summary

Description
English: Now the time by my watch is...

The locomotive Lyd is about to depart to Porthmadog and the driver is obviously contemplating something, possibly his watch. Lyd is a steam locomotive built by the Ffestiniog Railway in their Boston Lodge workshops and took 15 years to build.

Lyd is based on the design of the Lynton & Barnstaple Locomotive E188 Lew which was built by Manning Wardle in 1925 for the Southern Railway, who owned the former independent line at the time. Hence the colouring of the locomotive.
