Allen Searell
Allen SearelI, a Devonian who had come to Beddgelert in 1841 to develop mining. He worked for copper at Sygun, near Beddgelert and for slate at Cwm Orthin. He speculated successfully, at Hafod-y-llan, disasterously at Cefncam,
He died in 1865 after which his son failed to make any further headway for long.
A temporary but interesting user of the line was the Hafod-y-llan or South Snowdon Slate Quarry, which Searell was involved in, in the 1840s.
Landowner John Priestley involved Croesor Tramway Hafod-y-llan (Snowdon) Slate Company Ltd.
