Original site data New stations under construction at Blaenau Ffestiniog Looking from near the Queens Hotel across the work to construct both the new BR standard gauge station to the right and beside it to the left the new northern terminus of the Ffestiniog Railway. Compare this 1981 view with SH7045 : Blaenau Ffestiniog Station. The Ffestiniog Railway formerly occupied the right of this site, with the line continuing under a bridge by the photographer's location to serve the quarries. The left hand side of the site was occupied by the former standard gauge Great Western Station at the end of the branch from Bala.
