Born Edinburgh 1854, died c1920.
Robjent read up on Fredrick Vaughan's contract and deemed his position as a director was vacant, so he promptly nominated John Macaulay as a director. In the 1901 Census Macaulay was described as a Railway & Docks Manager, living in Monmouthshire.
His appointment was the subject of heated debate, and he eventually replaced G.W.O. Huddart who resigned on 22nd October 1914.
In February 1916 he undertook a review of the company.
From this, F. G. Crick was invited to retire, A. G. Crick and Robert Evans also took on additional duties and received additional salary. These changes became effective 31st March 1916.
