John S Fraser

John S Fraser was born in Scotland in 1845. In 1871 he was lodging with Charles Beresford in Edmund St., Blaenau Ffestiniog and was a Station Master at Duffws between 1871 & 1874.
It seems as though he was unsatisfactory and was dismissed but the reason is as yet unknown. However, in January 1872 he was thought worthy of another £20 a year - quite a reasonable sum at the time and this was important enough to appear in the minutes of a Company Board meeting. After leaving the Company he appears to have become a clerk in Liverpool.
