John S Fraser

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

John S Fraser was born in Scotland in 1845. In 1871 he was lodging with Charles Beresford in Edmund St., Blaenau Ffestiniog and was a Station Master at Duffws between 1871 & 1874.

In January 1872 he was thought worthy of another £20 a year - quite a reasonable sum at the time and this was important enough to appear in the minutes of a Company Board meeting. However, he was later thought unsatisfactory and sacked in August 1877. This comes from Board minutes.

After leaving the Company he appears to have become a clerk in Liverpool.
