A location on the Festiniog Railway on the hillside above Plas Tan-y-bwlch, the Snowdonia National Park Study Centre, about 200 yards down the line from Plas Halt towards Porthmadog.
It was the site of the former Milestone dating from the 19th century when the railway mileage was measured from the gates of the Welsh Slate Co's wharf on the far side of Portmadoc harbour.
