Penrhyndeudraeth, to give it its full name, means 'Headland between two beaches' . Whilst the Network Rail Cambrian Line station uses the full title, the short form Penrhyn is used by the FR for its station at the western edge, which lies approximately 1 mile (1.7 km) north east of Minffordd
