Cynon Evan Davies born Pwllheli 1904, Son of Evan R Davies. Solicitor. Replaced Huson as Company Secretary, 25 April 1929. He was the FR Company director who was really in command and who was managing its affairs from his own office in Buckingham Gate. (Whitehouse, 1963) Fred Gilbert negotiated with him between 1951 and 1954 on behalf of the nascent Festiniog Railway Society to establish how the FR might be taken over and revived. He had a substantial holding of ordinary shares and also of preference shares in the FR Co.
