Central Electricity Generating Board

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group
(Redirected from CEGB)

The Central Electricity Generating Board was the name given to the nationalised electricity supply industry during the period 1957 - 1990, and is relevant to the railway in connection with the Llyn Ystradau power scheme and the Deviation.

From 1990, the electricity supply industry has been split up and privatised, but the CEGB did not actually cease to exist until 2001. See Wikipedia for further information.
