Category:Shunting locomotives

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

While there are engines that are definitely too small or slow for normal line duty, the upper limit was and is often not clear on railways this small. But often the older, smaller or slower of the "allround" engines were preferred for shunting (and are, except that older engines might be more cherished now).

Therefore this category is partly only a guideline to the most likely shunters.
