David Angel

David Angel was born in 1803 in Towyn.

He was first employed as a labourer during the construction of the line in 1835 but stayed on as a wagon oiler first recorded in 1838

The 1841 census shows him living at Boston Lodge but his profession is listed as agricultural labourer.

The 1851 census shows him living at Tanygroes LyT and his profession is listed as labourer.

In 1861 he was living in Britannia Terrace, Portmadoc and again called himself a labourer but in 1871 his address 4, Britannia Place, Portmadoc and his occupation was given as Pointsman.

According to FR records he was an Oilman from 1839 until 1865. His employment with the FR Company may not have been continuous.

He died in the 4th quarter of 1871
