Day Log/1876-02-29
On this day, a train near Penrhyn Station departed, but the draw-bar of a carriage broke, dividing the train. The incident was seen by the driver and guard, who quickly succeeded in regulating the speed of the engine and brake van so that the carriages came up gently and without any further damage. [1]
