On this day, the Festiniog And Blaenau Railway was absorbed by the Bala And Festiniog Railway, a subordinate company of the Great Western Railway.
This was done under the powers granted in the GWR Act 43/4 Vic. Cap. 141 Section 63-6 of 6th August 1880.[1]
