On this day, it is recorded that:-

A meeting took place between the committee of representatives of the investing authrities, and Richard Griffith, Receiver and Manager of the Railway.

Most, if not all, of the discussion at this meeting, surrounded the proposed lease by the FR Co. of the WHR. The possibility of closure had been abated.
