There is a double appeal to passengers on the Festiniog Railway, the satisfaction of riding behind live steam locomotives in 1966 and the eternal fascination of the real thing in miniature. There is so much more too, majestic scenery, buffet and observation cars on all trains and not least—good timekeeping!
Centenarian saddle tank ‘Prince’ simmers at Tan-y-Bwlch. Driver Hoole, ex LNER ‘top link' man in charge.
