FESTINIOG RAILWAY SOCIETY LIMITED SPECIAL TRAIN - APRIL 25TH. 1970

1. ARRANGEMENTS AT TAN-Y-BWLCH: On arrival of the B.R: train at Blaenau Festiniog there will be 7 Buses available, each of which holds 39 passengers, i.e. a total of 273. There are 55 - 1st Class passengers on the train and approx. 204 - 2nd Class passengers. There will be, therefore, a seat for everyone on the buses. Each of the buses is numbered and they will be lined up ready to embus at Blaenau Festiniog. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU REMEMBER THE NUMBER OF YOUR BUS as you will have to embus in the same bus on the return journey in the evening from Tan-y-Bwlch. On arrival at Tan-y-Bwlch the buses will stop in the road outside the station grounds. You are asked to debus and walk up the slope to the waiting F.R. Special Train. WATCH OUT FOR PASSING TRAFFIC.

2. The Restaurant Car will be open for the serving of light supper meals at Llandudno Junction on arrival of the DMU from Blaenau Festiniog. This will be approximately ¾ hour before the train starts on its return journey to Euston.

3. After the A.G.M. and the Film Show, when returning to Portmadoc Harbour Station, you are asked to ensure that you show your Special Train ticket and that you file through the appropriate ticket office. (This is to ensure that all those persons who are not booked on the Special Train pay for their tickets on the F.R. Special which is going on to Ddualt and back to Portmadoc after the passengers for the Special Train have embussed at Tan-y-Bwlch on the return journey. By this means it is anticipated that the Railway will be sure of collecting fares from some 30 or 40 people who night otherwise "muscle in" on the Festiniog Railway Special for drinking purposes.

4. FILM SHOW FOR NON-MEMBERS : will consist of the following films :
