Summary
Caption: | Photo of day 2 of the work to temporarily remove track from the bypass construction site. |
Date: | Friday 7th January 2011 |
Location: | Minffordd Bypass |
Photographer: | Dan Evans |
Fred Howes, retired FRC Civil Engineering Manager, returned to the track gang as a full time volunteer for the first time since he was first employed by the Company! Fred unscrews an isolated block joint (IBJ) fishplate on the turnout (IBJs are part of the track circuits). After the photo of him posing, Fred said it would be good if there was a picture of him actually doing something!
