[edit]References are shown by adding the <references /> tag or the {{reflist}} template.
Issues and resolution
[edit]Parameters such as style or id were passed to the <references /> tag.
Only the group parameter is allowed. Using the {{reflist}} template will avoid most of the possible issues with the <references /> tag. See the documentation for details.
Since the addition of reference groups, this error should no longer be invoked— the message Invalid <ref> tag; parameter "group" is allowed only. Use the {{Reflist}} template, <references/>, or <references group="..."/> (see the help page).
