Long serving Platelayer with the FR. Born 1817 in Nevin) Platelayer 1881 & 91, living in Penrhyndeudraeth.

Appears to have started work for the FR about 1848, last recorded about 1898.

J. S. Hughes in a report to the board in February 1890 mentions a Hugh Williams, as the oldest employee (70+?)

"Had become too much of a liability in platelaying, and was now employed on weeding and fence repair."
