James Eccles

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

James Eccles was born in Ormskirk in 1838. He was a FR driver in 1870 (driving No.2) and in 1871 was living in Dinas barracks, although this might just have been a lodging turn and have been living elsewhere. In 1881 he was still a driver but living in Dolwyddelen so it is highly likely he was employed in the building of the LNWR line as they had quite extensive sidings there at that time.
