From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

This 20hp Motor Rail "Simplex" 4wDM (Builder's number 9547 of 1950) was the first loco to be supplied new to the Leighton Buzzard Light Railway, a light railway linking various sand quarries in the Leighton Buzzard area. Circa 1960, it was transferred to the fleet owned by one of the quarry owners - Joseph Arnold & Sons Ltd. It came to the WHR Ltd on loan from Ian Jolly on 31 May 1980 and returned to him on 5 May 1986.
