Born in 15/09/1878 in Portmadoc.

Joined FR as a moulder around 1901.

In 1901 he was living at 47, East Street and was an Iron Moulder, married to Elizabeth (1899) with one daughter.

In the 1911 census he described himself as an Iron Founder living at 51, East Avenue, Portmadoc. By this time they had another child, a son.

He left the FR on 30/3/22

Owen Ellis Griffith is possibly the person in the photo known as Boyd26H. (click here to see) This photo is labelled "A Group taken in the Works Yard before the First War". It is believed to be around 1913. It is not all staff from the yard at that time. There was a list attached to the original which declares who the people are. This person is believed to be in the second row from the back and the seventh person from the left handside.
