Owen Williams

Brother of William Williams (1835). Born in Hawarden in 1843, he was lodging at Boston Lodge in the 1861 census, but as an agricultural labourer. By 1863 he was working as a carpenter in the Works. In 1870 he is recorded as a carpenter 'repairing carriages'. In the 1871 census he is living in Minffordd with his mother and younger brother and is shown as a joiner. By the 1881 census he was living in the station house in Minffordd together with his wife (Ellen Thomas) and their son Ernest and his profession was carriage builder. He was still a carpenter in August 1881. He died in February 1884 and is buried in Penrhyndeudraeth Holy Trinity churchyard.
