Born 8th July 1898. Joined the FR as a cleaner by May 1914. Left the railway as a stoker on 11th June 1918. He had a medical on 26th June 1917 and was in 24 Royal Welsh Fusiliers in France (No. 91892). He became a regular and served until 22nd February 1923 and never rejoined the FR staff. [1]
