Son of Brian Rogers Seamus Rogers is a presently a volunteer loco driver on both FR and WHR, having been passed out by Allan Garraway in 1982. He was employed as a loco driver in 1983 and joined the permanent staff at Boston Lodge from 1985 to 1997, for most of that period as Carriage Works Supervisor. He was regular driver of Linda in 1985 and 1986, when it ran on power station coal on the Gas Producer Combustion System (GPCS). He worked with then Works Manager, Steve McCallum, to introduce spray painting and set up a production spray shop in the carriage works. The move to more diverse loco liveries started during this period. The red/off-white carriage livery used for the main fleet today was introduced at his suggestion to make the trains more visible in the landscape.
