Engine Fitter, born 1858, son of a fitter at Wolverton L&NWR works, apprenticed at Crewe 1872, and then worked at Walsall and Blackburn. Joined NWNGR before April 1891 Census, retired after 1911 but before 1922, died 1922. Involved, as driver of excursion, in accident of 31st July 1906 at Nantmill Bridge on the NWNGR above Waenfawr when his train was hit by loose wagon running back from the train ahead.
