LICENCE AGREEMENT – ELECTRONIC USE

Licence no: RCPL2/3/76/003 Reference Number: RC20-0143 Commencement date: 23/03/2020 Termination date: 22/03/2030


The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, under delegated authority from The Keeper of Public Records, hereby grants a non-exclusive licence to Mark Temple, Ffestiniog Railway Society Heritage Group, 9 Haytor Park, Bristol BS9 2LR to use the images DI2013_0092 Caernarfon Castle (H.P.V. Nunn), DI2013_0080 Caernarfon Castle (W.H. Bartlett and J.C. Armytage), DI2013_0725 Caernarfon Castle and DI2013_0724 Port Dinorwic Harbour for the purpose of illustrating the non-commercial Wiki website of the Ffestiniog Railway Society Heritage Group, https://www.festipedia.org.uk/wiki/Main_Page for a period of 10 years. The image(s) may be used for the purposes detailed above without charge. All output must acknowledge and clearly state the source as cited in condition 7 below.

The following Terms and Conditions govern the licensee’s use of the images provided. The receipt of this licence and the use of RCAHMW images constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions and agreement to abide by them.

1. All images licensed for website use must have a restricted resolution of no more than 72dpi (480-640 pixels). 2. The image(s) shall not be altered or manipulated, added to or have any part deleted without prior written consent of RCAHMW. 3. The image(s) may not, by way of trade or otherwise, be lent, sold, re-sold, hired out or

      otherwise circulated to a third party without the prior written consent of RCAHMW.  

4. The Licensee is given the non-exclusive right to place the image(s) on a computer

      network and to permit the making of single hard copies for non-commercial research or 
      private study purposes only.

5. Permission to use the image(s) covered by this licence for purposes not detailed above

      must be obtained in writing in advance from RCAHMW.  A reproduction fee or 
      enhanced licence fee may be payable.  The Licensee must not copy any version of the 
      images other than that supplied by RCAHMW.


6. The image(s) is licensed by RCAHMW, under delegated authority from The Keeper of

      Public Records, on an “as is” basis and without any warranty of any kind, either express 
      or implied.

7. All images under the terms of the licence must be accompanied by an acknowledgement of the source:

8. The licence may not be assigned or transferred to another individual or organisation

      without prior written permission from RCAHMW.

9. The Licensor shall not be liable for any loss or damage however and whenever caused to

      anyone by any use under this licence, whether by you or by anyone else, and whether 
      caused by any fault on the part of the Licensor or not.

10. All digital and electronically held images covered by this licence must be destroyed by

       the Licensee within one month of the end of the licensed period (unless the licence has 
       been renewed by RCAHMW).


This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in all respects under the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
