This flameproofed 7-ton Model 48DLG Ruston & Hornsby 4wDM (Builder's number 481552 of 1962) was built for underground use at the NCB's Gresford Colliery in Clwyd, where it was known as Berwyn. It was also used at Point of Ayr Colliery on the North Wales Coast. It was in the ownership of Amalgamated Construction in Yorkshire when it was purchased for use on the WHR(P). It came to the railway in September 1990 and is currently in process of being rebuilt.
