On this day there was a meeting of the FR Co. Board.

There was a close examination of overall expenditure. Spoorner was directed to effect reductions in several departments, in line with the falling off of traffic. They requested a report on the possible reduction of staff, given the increase over the previous years wage bill.

It was also resolved to issue the remaining 500 £10 4% preference shares that were created in August the previous year. Preference would be given to existing shareholders, as had been done previously.[1]

The meeting was adjourned to the following day
