Day Log/1897-08-19

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

On this day, a covered goods wagon attached behind a passenger train, and 4 or 5 more behind it, left the rails just before Tan y Bwlch. The accident was caused by the bushes of the wagon having got loose allowing too much play in the wheels, and wagon also being overloaded with flour bags.

No damage to passenger train, which was decoupled and continued its journey.[1]
