Holy War, Hunslet 779, built 1902 for Dinorwic Slate Quarry. By 1967 Holy War was the last steam locomotive to remain in operation in a North Wales slate quarry. Sold in 1968, it arrived at Bala in 1975, and after a major overhaul entered service in 1979. Today Holy War can be found running on the Bala Lake Railway. Originally it had no cab, this was built when the loco entered passenger service at the Bala Lake. Holy War attended the Hunslet 100 Gala in 1993 and returned to the FR in 2018 for Hunslet 125.
