Leadmine Curve is a location at the Porthmadog end of Cei Mawr. It is so named because there was once a short siding here serving the Catherine & Jane Consols lead mine. It has been suggested that the siding extended right into the mine (about 1/2 mile) but geography (some very serious differences in levels) and the lack of earthworks suggest otherwise. The siding probably extended for less than fifty yards beyond the FR's boundary gate.
