Plas Private was a private station, originally provided with a seat, which was opened in 1865. Mr W.E. Oakeley, the Oakeley family and their guests had the right (using the special signal provided within the Plas Tan y Bwlch grounds) to stop any train, goods or passenger, including the right to travel in waggons if they so wished. It is sited approximately 5¾ miles from Porthmadog, between Tro Keepers and Milestone Curve. The station closed before 1939 and there is little trace of it now except for the foot crossing.[route 1]
