Portmeirion is a local attraction near to Minffordd station. It is an Italianate village designed and built by Bertram Clough Williams-Ellis.
In pre-revival days Boston Lodge Halt was known as Boston Lodge for Portmerion.
Sometimes the end of the headshunt in Glan y Mor yard is known as The Portmeirion Branch because it points along the coast in the that direction.
