Robert Dillon
Bob was Senior PW Supervisor on the FR from April 1981 until Jan 2001. He transfered to Volunteer Resources Management until his retirement in June 2003.[1] In both his PW and his later role he was a very well known friendly face to a great many PW and other volunteers over the years. He had an earlier spell with FR PW as FR Magazine records that Robert Dillon joined the PW gang in late 1971 with extensive experience as a BR trackman. He had also sampled life underground in a colliery. He finished that period on the FR in 1972. [2] (Howes 2014)
