The A487 Minffordd bypass is currently being constructed. Designed to take traffic away from Porthmadog town centre, the bypass will go under the FR just short of Bron Turnor Crossing. The FR track was removed over the weekend of 6th/7th January 2011 allowing work to commence. This view shows the cutting dug for the road by the contractors on 7th January.
