The building now known as the Halt Room at Boston Lodge Halt was built in 1857 for weighing wagons loaded with slate, and is presently empty. The FR Heritage Group has recently launched a project to reinstate the weighbridge at this location. Donations to this project are welcome - https://www.frheritage.org.uk/sales
