According to Boyd[1] he was employed (& a pensioner) as Minffordd Crossing Keeper (Quarry Lane?) in 1917, being paid 8/- + 8/- war bonus. FR records show he was still there in 1920
Noted In October 1919 the wartime bonuses were paid and he received £1 12/8d (£1.63p)
