This locomotive is a 21-ton 0-4-2T built by Peckett in Bristol (Builder's number 2024 of 1942) for the Rhodesia Chrome Mines' Selukwe Peat Light Railway, Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).
It came to the WHRL on 6 March 1976 and was the first steam locomotive in use when it entered service in 1983.
Due for a ten-year overhaul, the locomotive was withdrawn from service in 1993, pending a major boiler overhaul. Since then it has been displayed as a static museum exhibit.
