Anne Davies

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

Despite the evidence of her strong Scottish accent, Anne was actually born in Detroit, USA, her parents having emigrated from Scotland before she was born.

After some time and travelling, she moved to Porthmadog, where she worked for a firm of local accountants until her retirement. Her association with the Railway began when she married Evan Davies and moved into the flat at Harbour Station with her two daughters, Sheena and Judith.

She was often seen volunteering in the shop.

Her abiding wish was to have a plaque on her grave inscribed: "You May Smoke Here". As a smoker she was not pleased at the smoking regulations! [1]
