Associated Railways

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

There are, or have been, a number of railways and/or tramways connected with the FR Co. throughout its history.

These have been collectively grouped by gauge :

The term 'Narrow' gauge refers to all gauges between Standard, at 4'8½" (1435mm), and Miniature, which is taken as 15 inches (381mm) or less.

For completion, and very little is known about it, there was the Moelwyn & Port Madoc Railway.

Also, a slight distance away from the line of the railway, is the Talyllyn Railway. Prior to, and during the early years of the revival, a number of those involved had been involved with the Talyllyn. Other railways further afield that have connections with the F&WHR include the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway, the Vale of Rheidol Railway and the South African Railways.
