Air Vice-Marshall Sir Ben Ball, K.B.E., C.B. retired from distinguished career in the Royal Air Force in 1969. He became a FRS director in 1974, with a particular interest in the Deviation, and joined the FR Co. board in 1975. He died on 24th January 1977.[1] He is commemorated on a stone on Dduallt platform.
