Discussion of Haulage rates with Cambrian Railway - continued from 28th July

Following previous discussions, a letter (of this date) was received from John Conacher, Company Secretary for the Cambrian Railway. They had looked at the proposal, and he wrote that he was instructed to say, that in their opinion (Cambrian Board), the proposals contained in those (FR Co.) resolutions were entirely inadequate to meet the circumstances of the case, and while they considered no settlement could currently be reached, a further meeting was requested.

This meeting must have taken place quickly, as further correspondence was received on the 16th August[1]
