Investigation of period maps from the OS Old maps site shows the following names in existence
- 1889 - Snowdon Ranger Station
- 1891 - Snowdon Ranger Station
- 1900 - Quellyn Lake Station
- 1901 - Quellyn Lake Station
- 1915 - Quellyn Lake Station
- 1919 - Quellyn Lake Station
- 1978 - Quellyn Lake Station
I realise the last entry (1978) is some years after closure and lifting, but the location is still shown, labelled as Quellyn Lake Station.
Further, from the old timetables (as appear on here, copied from other sources), the WHR Timetable November 1 1923 - January 12 1924 timetable lists QL rather than SR. In fact this timetable is the only reference to that location.
